Public Programming for Museums: An Introduction

Program Description: This one-day workshop will provide an introduction to developing public programming in museums, parks, heritage organizations and galleries. Topics will include: a brief overview of museum education, learning theories and learning styles; the role of interpretation policy development in public programs; audience identification; program planning tips; program promotion and evaluation; and the role of interpretation and public programming in engaging our communities.
