The Provincial Government is now accepting applications from eligible non-profit and private sector employers for the 2026 Summer Employment Program for Students. Applications are being accepted earlier this year so they can be processed and approved sooner, to meet student summer break periods.

The program provides funding for private sector businesses and not-for-profit organizations, and municipalities to create summer employment opportunities for students.

The Summer Employment Program for Students helps connect young people with meaningful work opportunities across Newfoundland and Labrador. By supporting employers and opening doors for students entering the workforce, the program contributes to stronger communities throughout the province.
