Holyrood Heritage Society Inc.

The Holyrood Heritage Society Inc. came into being in 2003 as an initiative of the Holyrood Town Council, and received its Certificate of Incorporation 50166 on August 25, 2004. The Holyrood Heritage Society’s By-Laws and mandate clearly identify how they operate as a non-profit charitable corporation:

• To provide for, promote and assist in the establishment, development, and protection of cultural, heritage and historical sites in and around the Town of Holyrood, in the Province of NL.

• To lobby the public and the Government to support the development and preservation of culturally and historically significant sites.

• To build, purchase, lease or otherwise acquire property, both real and personal of a cultural or historical significance which will promote and protect the history of the Town.

• To preservice historical structures.
