CCI Workshop: Digital Photodocumentation of Museum Objects – Early Bird Registration

The Museum Association of Newfoundland and Labrador, in partnership with the Association of Newfoundland and Labrador Archives, is pleased to offer Digital Photodocumentation of Museum Objects, facilitated by Mylène Choquette and Germain Wiseman from the Canadian Conservation Institute (CCI), Canadian Heritage! This pre-conference workshop is a core course for MANL’s Museum Studies Certificate Program, but you do not need to be enrolled in the program to participate in the workshop.

This workshop explains how to digitally photograph museum objects to meet conservation and documentation requirements. It includes information on how to choose proper photographic equipment, the various types of digital cameras and how they function, different light sources and how they influence colour, assorted lighting techniques and how to set up a digital workflow.

Join us at The Rooms from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM on Wednesday, October 15 and Thursday, October 16! Light refreshments will be provided. The Rooms Café is also located onsite for services. 

Due to the hands-on nature of this workshop, registration is limited to 12 spots. The early bird registration is only available to MANL and ANLA members in good standing. Please visit MANL’s or ANLA’s website to join or renew your membership. All registrations are final.
