Building a website in the modern day is more achievable than you might think! Tools have evolved over the years, making website building easy and accessible to anyone, regardless of technical skills and background. In this presentation Christian Legge will introduce you to the tools and practices of website management using WordPress. From refining the vision of your website to implementing the features and functionalities that can drastically improve user experience, and more! All levels of experience are welcome, whether you are a complete beginner or a confident user aiming to expand their knowledge of website building best practices.

About the Presenter

Christian Legge is a St. John’s resident with a drive to help his community any way he can. He has a variety of informational technology experience stemming from his high school and post secondary education and extracurricular activities such as his involvement with MATE (Marine Advanced Technology Education) ROV (Remotely Operated Vehicles) competitions. In his role as Membership Outreach Assistant at MANL, he has made considerable headway in upkeeping and improving the MANL website. He loves the culture of his home island, and is dedicated to preserving the history of Newfoundland and Labrador and is willing to learn all that he can in pursuit of this goal. He believes that the culture of this island is some of the most unique in the world, and is excited to do his part in preserving it.
