Public Programming for Museums: An Introduction

We invite our members to register for Public Programming for Museums: An Introduction, an in-person workshop offered by The Museum Association of Newfoundland and Labrador and sponsored by the Community Sector Council of Newfoundland and Labrador!

Workshop Location: St. Gabriel’s Hall, 254 Ville Marie Drive, Marystown, NL

This one-day workshop will provide an introduction to developing public programming in museums, parks, heritage organizations and galleries. Topics will include: a brief overview of museum education, learning theories and learning styles; the role of interpretation policy development in public programs; audience identification; program planning tips; program promotion and evaluation; and the role of interpretation and public programming in engaging our communities.

This workshop is an elective course for the Museum Studies Certificate Program.
