Logy Bay – Middle Cove – Outer Cove Heritage Committee
The Logy Bay-Middle Cove-Outer Cove Museum shares the exciting history of the early settlement of the communities of Logy Bay, Middle Cove and Outer Cove.
First settled in 1610, and permanently settled in the early 1800’s, this area has a diverse and rich history. Each settlement has its own history, as well as a unique shared history which is reflected in the museum’s exhibits. All artifacts have been donated by community members, which creates a space that shares the memories and tools of bygone days.
The museum is divided into different rooms: School, Religion, Fishery, Lifestyles, Military, Agriculture, and Sports. There is a cozy kitchen area so you can stop and enjoy a cup of tea or coffee during your visit. The museum also houses an archive, and staff are happy to help you with your research into your family or other projects. Admission is free.
