The NLQRI was established to facilitate the preservation and commemoration of the 2SLGBTQ+ histories of Newfoundland and Labrador.

The organization’s mandate is to:

• empower our community to recover and share our history while fostering intergenerational solidarity, and• maintain a collection of 2SLGBTQ+ historical materials and research for the purposes of academic scholarship, policymaking, and for use by the broader community.
