Introduction to Museum Governance & Management

This two-day course is designed for museum staff and volunteers and provides a general introduction to the governance and management of museums. Participants will explore the function of museums in society, museum leadership, the responsibilities of public trust and the development of governing and operational policies. This training will also provide an introduction to managing financial and human resources in museums and creating museum policies

This is one of the core courses in MANL’s Certificate in Museum Studies program.

Registration Fees: $155 for non-members, $130 for MANL members (individual or institutional). Members: Use or select promo code GFW24 when registering on Eventbrite to receive the member discount price.

Cancellations received less than 5 days in advance are not eligible for refunds. Participants who do not attend remain responsible for full payment. In the event of bad weather, etc., the training will be rescheduled and refunds will be offered.
