Jared T. Hogan, a PhD Candidate in Archaeology at Memorial University under the supervision of Drs. Barry Gaulton and Scott Neilsen, is conducting a research project looking at how Indigenous Peoples and their ancestors are represented in non-Indigenous-led museums throughout Newfoundland and Labrador.
This project aims to create recommendations for museum professionals at the non-Indigenous-led museums to better represent Indigenous Peoples and their ancestors. As part of this project, Jared is looking to interview museum professionals at any non-Indigenous-led museum in Newfoundland and Labrador—whether you’re a current employee, retired, or moved to a different field.
If you’re interested in chatting, kindly reach out to Jared at jthogan@mun.ca, or contact MANL at info@museumsnl.ca for more information.
