Date: Tuesday, January 28
Time: 12:00 PM
Location: Online via Zoom
This webinar will focus on scanning parties, one of Heritage NL’s most requested public programs, and how to host them. A scanning party is an informal photo collection session where community members come with their own photographs to be scanned and returned to them at the event. Juliet Lanphear from Heritage NL will explain all the basics of planning a scanning party, including equipment, promotions, consent forms, metadata, and storing your newly digitized photographs. A fantastic way to engage with local communities, scanning parties help preserve historical materials and increase their accessibility.
