Grand Falls-Windsor Heritage Society Inc.
The Heritage Centre offers information about the early beginnings of the town that started with the formation of a paper mill. There are thousands of historical photos, documents and artifacts, as well as genealogical information. There are also books and art from local artists. Located downtown at the former mill Training Centre.
The Grand Falls-Windsor Heritage Society mandate includes both tangible and intangible cultural heritage related to the history of Grand Falls-Windsor. The society is committed to making their collection accessible to the public for research and exhibition. The collection includes documents, books, photographs, and a huge variety of objects and artifacts, most of which has been donated by private citizens, groups, and businesses in the town. Donations of any materials that are germane to the history and heritage of the town are welcome. The Grand Falls-Windsor Heritage Society was formed in 1997 and incorporated in 1998 and is a registered charity. Membership is open to everyone. The society is constituted with a Board of Directors which is elected at their Annual General Meeting.
