Tips, tools and technologies for your museum or organization’s hybrid (both in-person and online) events!
The Museum Association of Newfoundland and Labrador (MANL) is happy to offer this online workshop in partnership with the BC Museums Association (BCMA)!
When:
Session 1: Friday, March 1, 2024, 1:00-2:30 PM Newfoundland Standard Time on Zoom
Session 2: Friday, March 8, 2024, 1:00-2:30 PM Newfoundland Standard Time on Zoom
About the workshop:
While the COVID-19 pandemic has given almost everyone some experience with online meetings and events, hybrid events (events that offer both in-person and online engagement opportunities) pose a host of challenges specific to the hybrid format. The BC Museums Association will share both its research into what makes a successful and impactful hybrid event, and what has and has not worked as they’ve experimented with hybrid programs and events.
Session 1: Learn about the BCMA’s Virtual Events Toolkit and discuss ideas and opportunities for leveraging hybrid events.
Session 2: Discuss how hybrid events have worked in practice as the BCMA shares what has worked well, what hasn’t, and which tools/technologies they’d recommend.
