MANL Midday Museums: Let’s Talk Occupational Health and Safety!

Date: Tuesday, May 28
Time: 12:00 PM
Location: Online via Zoom

On May 28, join Anne Madden, MANL’s Office Manager to discuss occupational health and safety in your museum or heritage institution. Did you know that as a supervisor you have a responsibility to ensure your staff work is in compliance with OHS acts and regulations? When you hire summer students and volunteers, do you fulfill your OHS training and orientation requirements? Did you know that every worker in Canada has three basic rights?

Join us during this Midday Museums session as we discuss some of the basics of occupational health and safety in the workplace, including training tips for summer student employees, and share resources to help you as a supervisor!

To register, please fill out this form by Monday, May 27.

Please note that the meeting will not be recorded.

Midday Museums is a series of webinars, discussion sessions and networking events, set for noon on the last Tuesday of each month. Midday Museums is available thanks to the generous support provided by the United Way Newfoundland and Labrador’s Community Services Recovery Fund.
