Professional Development

CERTIFICATE IN MUSEUMS STUDIES

As part of its mandate to promote professionalism and skills development within the museum community, the Museum Association of Newfoundland and Labrador provides a Certificate in Museum Studies. This program provides museum workers with a general introduction into current theories, standards, and best practices for museums. The content of the certificate program is based on topics covered in MANLโ€™s Best Practices publication.

MIDDAY MUSEUMS

Join MANL for Midday Museums, a series of webinars, discussion sessions and networking events, set for noon on the last Tuesday of each month. Put that monthly lunch hour Midday Museums date in your calendars! Weโ€™ll gather on Zoom and sometimes in person/hybrid, to talk about funding applications, collections management, supervising student staff and other topics.

All sessions are completely free of charge.
